Eliza Sydnor Dressage trains horses out of Ardenwood Farm, ideally located in Chapel Hill, NC. The barn has 13 matted 14x12 stalls, 2 wash stalls and a spacious tack room with fridge, freezer, washer, dryer and a full bath with shower. There is an amazing lounge above the tackroom, which is a comfy spot for clients to relax before or after their lessons. A beautiful apartment is connected to the barn, where employees live, so there is always someone on site. Ardenwood has two arenas - one 20 x 40 meter covered arena and a huge outdoor arena with lights. Lovely grass pastures surround the barn, so the horses can spend much of the day outside. A 2 stall barn by the owner's home is the ideal location for visiting students!
We believe strongly in letting horses live like horses, which means lots of turn out, access to fresh water and forage at all times, and always allowing horses to have "friends" in small social groups. Horses are very social creatures, and we like to let them express that. We are very careful when introducing new horses to each other and do not accept stallions on the property. We do have private turnout options available for those horses who need it. We have access to miles of trails as well as beautifully manicured fields for riding. The farm is located in Chapel Hill, right off a major state highway, only 10 minutes from the charming town of Carrboro. Ardenwood is only 30 minutes from Raleigh Durham International Airport. |
